Armand Jean du Plessis de Richelieu de Richelieu, francoski duhovnik, kardinal, vojvoda in politik.
Po nazivu markiz du Chillou je postal leta 1608 posvečen kot škof Luçona, kasneje pa vstopil v politiko. Leta 1616 je postal državni tajnik.
Leta 1622 je postal kardinal, leta 1624 premier kralja Ludvika XIII., leta 1631 prvi vojvoda Richelieu in 1634 prvi vojvoda Fronsac, upravitelj Clugnyja, Cîteauxa in Prémontra. Na premierskem stolčku je ostal do svoje smrti leta 1642.
Imenovan je bil tudi l'Éminence rouge (rdeča eminenca), saj je bil glavni svetovalec kralja Ludvika XIII. Njegova daljnosežna politika je dosegla, da je Francija postala prva absolutistična država na svetu in končala habsburško prevlado nad Evropo.
