Backup tool
BackUp Maker is a personal backup tool that can create backups in ZIP format. It can optionally backup the files directly to a CD-RW or DVD drive, a local folder, or a remote FTP server.
The program comes with most of the common options like file exclusions, scheduled backups, dated files, incremental backups, password protection and more. It also offers password protection for the zip files and supports spanning across multiple disks.
BackUp Maker lets you create quick one-time backups as well as scheduled backups that occur on a regular basis. The interface is easy to use and offers an advanced mode that reveals the additional features (file masks, exclusions etc.).

I have been using this Backkup for a couple of years -- first the free version, then the paid Pro version.
It is easy to use, reliable, and does everything I need in a Home Office backup. I have never needed customer support for anything, either operational or technical. I have used expensive, proprietary, and bloated backup software but this well-coded little app is all a home-office user needs. The zip restores are quick and easy, both extract restore or via the application restore. The program is updated periodically.
